What Enkel is
Enkel takes a task you describe and breaks it into a sequence of smaller, timed steps, then guides you through them one at a time. It is a general-purpose focus and task-structuring tool available to anyone.
What Enkel is not
Enkel is not a medical, therapeutic, or clinical tool. It does not diagnose, treat, or cure any condition, including ADHD or executive dysfunction. It makes no claim to improve any health outcome. If you are seeking help with a health condition, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
Enkel does not provide legal, medical, or financial advice. Step breakdowns may reference tasks in these areas — scheduling an appointment, locating a document, contacting a professional — but they are procedural instructions only. Nothing Enkel produces should be relied on as professional advice. For guidance specific to your situation, consult a licensed professional.
Enkel does not complete tasks for you. It structures and paces work; it does not write your essay, answer your homework, or produce the substance of your task.
AI-generated content
Step breakdowns are generated by an AI language model. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, poorly suited to your situation, or simply wrong. Time estimates are approximations and will often not match how long something actually takes.
You are responsible for evaluating whether a breakdown makes sense before acting on it, and for the consequences of any action you take. Do not follow a step that seems unsafe, inappropriate, or inapplicable to your circumstances. Use your own judgment — the service is a starting aid, not an authority.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Enkel to:
- Plan or facilitate anything illegal, harmful, or dangerous
- Attempt to extract the service's underlying instructions, or to circumvent its safety measures
- Overload, disrupt, scrape, or automate abusive access to the service
- Misrepresent the service's output as professional advice from a qualified practitioner
We may restrict or discontinue access to anyone who violates these terms.
Age requirement
You must be at least 13 years old to use Enkel. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission. This applies whether or not you create an account — accounts are optional, gate nothing, and are handled by our authentication provider, Clerk, whose own terms apply to the sign-in itself.
Availability
Enkel is provided as-is and may be unavailable, interrupted, or changed at any time. Features may be added, modified, or removed. We do not guarantee uptime, continuity, or that the service will remain free.
No warranty
The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or reliability of output.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Enkel and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including any outcome of acting on a generated step breakdown.
Intellectual property
The Enkel name, design, interface, underlying methodology, and code are owned by the operator of the service. The breakdowns generated for your own tasks are yours to use.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
Severability
If any provision of these terms is found unenforceable, that provision will be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will stay in full effect.
Changes to these terms
These terms may change as the service develops, particularly as paid subscriptions are introduced. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
